IT'S A BOY!!!

Ever since we knew I was pregnant we felt like it was a little boy. In Trent's family all the boys have had a girl first. We call it "The Anderson Tradition." So everyone would say it was a girl. However, it always felt weird to me when I would call our baby a girl.

A couple weeks ago I had my 20 week ultrasound. That day I had a conference for work up at BYU. I was there until noon and I told Trent to pick me up at exactly 12:00 p.m.. We could NOT be late! He picked me up and we headed to the doctor's office. We were early(ha), so we went and ate lunch. I texted both of our families to give us their final guesses. Most everyone on Trent's side guessed a girl. Most everyone on my side guessed a boy. Right before we went inside Trent and I went back and forth as to what our baby was! We went in, waited for a few short minutes and they called us back.

(Side note:  My dance teacher when I was little did the ultrasound. Small world!)
She started from the head, and worked her way down examining everything. Trent had not seen our baby in this much detail yet. It was so cool to see how much it had progressed in just a short amount of time. The baby was moving all over. When she got down to the baby's bottom she asked to make sure we wanted to know what the baby was. As soon as it came up on the screen, Trent and I knew immediately that it was a boy. She pointed and said,"You see that, that is a little boy part." :) I started crying and Trent was grinning from ear to ear.

We met my parents up north after the ultrasound, and told them. Then we drove back home to go to Trent' parents house and tell them. On our drive, our phones were blown up with family asking us what our baby was. We told Trent's parents and when we finally told the rest of the family they were so surprised but excited!
We Broke the Anderson Tradition!!
We can't wait to meet out little boy!!!

The Best News!!!

Around July Trent and I received some very big news. We found out we were pregnant!!! It has been way too long since I last post anything, and I want to keep everything documented for my sake, so i'm gonna try to start from the beginning. It was July 27th I had stopped after work to buy some pregnancy tests. Trent and I had thought for a week or so that I might be pregnant. I was a week late, and am usually pretty regular. I waited for Trent to get home. He was surprised I had waited, but to be honest I was a little scared and wanted him there no matter the outcome. I took the test and on the box it says to wait 2 minutes. Two minutes was not needed, it appeared immediately! A pink plus sign came up bright and clear.

I just said, "Oh my gosh." Trent asked,"What" so many times, before I showed him the sign. He just got a big smile on his face and gave me a big hug.  It was so sweet, and such a surreal feeling.
This pic was me the night we found out.

The next day we went to Lagoon with my family. It didn't even dawn on me tell we were in line for The Rocket, and reading the sign it said, "Expectant mothers should refrain from riding." I of course instantly freak out. I look at Trent and I could tell he was thinking the same thing, We were in line with my brother and his wife. I kept trying to ask Trent, "Is it ok?" without them hearing or noticing. I could tell he didn't know for sure either which made me even more nervous. Yes I did go on a few rides, but was worried the whole time. My family went on a ride and I said we will sit out on this one. Trent and I were so worried we called the hospital. After a few transfers and explaining the situation 5 times we finally got through to a doctor.  Lol I know can you imagine what that doctor on the other side of the phone was thinking. Of course he couldn't give us a yes or no answer but said where I wasn't very far along I should be fine. Which yes did make me feel better.

The next week I took another pregnancy test just to make sure, and sure enough the same thing happened. Plus Sign! :)

I wanted to get right in and see a doctor. I had heard of too many horror stories and I wanted to make sure if anything was wrong we could catch it early. Problem was I had no idea what to do. I couldn't ask anyone because then they would know that I was pregnant. I tried calling up to the hospital in Provo. They acted like I was dumb and made me feel like crying. I ended up calling to the clinic here in Mt. Pleasant and they got me in right away. The first appointment was so awesome. We found out I was 7 weeks along, and our baby was due March 26th. I told the doctor my concerns and he did a quick ultrasound on me. Of course all we could see at that time was a tiny dot, but all was well. It was so incredible for Trent and I. This was when it really became real for us.

(Not twins, Dr. just gave us two pictures;))

My Family was spending a weekend in St. George. And we knew this was the perfect time to tell them because we would all be together. We were there Thursday through Sunday and we told them Thursday night. My mom had been bugging me for awhile asking if I was pregnant. I told her she would be the first to know of the people we tell. So when we got to our condominium, I pulled my mom and dad into a room and showed them the ultrasound picture. They new exactly was it was and were so excited! My dad said, "You know this just make me older right?" :) Yep dad your gonna be a grandpa again! I had bought shirts for the twins that said Big Cousin Spring 2016. That night we grabbed the twins to hurry and  put the shirts on them. They were fussy and Katie came in and saw we were putting on shirts, and said, "oh its OK we have pj's for them." I didn't know what to say so I just said, "ok." lol. She figured it out though and left. We brought the kids out and let everyone read their shirts. They were SO happy! You know the rest!:)  It was such an awesome experience to tell everyone all at once.

Next we had to tell Trent's side of the family. There wasn't going to be anytime soon that everyone was together, so we decided to just tell his parents, and then we could send everyone a text telling them the good news. We went and saw them that next Monday we got back from St. George. We sat them down and told them that we had a present from St. George for them. This is what the present looked like.
We videoed their reaction. Corey smiled and said, "I knew it!" The next day we sent that video to all his brothers, sisters and their spouses. It felt so good for family to finally know. We could ask questions  and we had all this love and support from them.

After that it was just waiting. I had a Dr. app when I was 15 weeks along. Trent couldn't come with me so my mom came. It was so awesome. We got to hear the heartbeat, but also see it. It was a neat experience to have my mom there with me. Everything was on track and looked good. We announced that we were pregnant when I was 17 weeks.

We feel so blessed. This baby is already so loved!

4th of July Weekend

I know this is late but I had to post about one of my favorite holidays. The 4th of July!!!

This year my parents went on a bike trip so we were about to tend Shyannne an Stetson Thursday night to Saturday. So on Friday as you can see we went fishing!

Shyanne and Stetson have not caught a fish before so we were really hoping they could catch one. However Trent was the only lucky one this time!

Teaching Stetson how to fish.

Funny Story; Once I was fishing I reeled in my line and it came up with moss on the hook, so I splashed the water to get it off and on the second time my jake (hook) came off. We had just bought those jakes, and they were not cheep. It might sound crazy but we spent the next 20 min looking for that jake. We tried to get Stetson to get in the water. He was on the edge of the dock trying to decide if he wanted to get in or not, and Trent and I kept urging him in. He just points at me and says, "You," and then points at Trent, "And you, just back away." We all just started laughing. Stetson ended up not getting in the water, but we happened to see it at the last second, Trent grabbed our second fishing pole and with the jake attached to that one grabbed our lost jake in the water! We say it was all worth it! (hahaha)

That night we had  a campfire in our backyard and did sparklers. Stetson being a wizard!

The three of us. We love when they come to stay with us!

Saturday was the 4th!!! So grateful to live in this beautiful country, and for those who have sacrificed for our freedoms!

It's weird. If you live on state street strangers pile in front of your house to watch the parade. So we kind of got booted out of our seats that we had saved a couple days before. I even had someone ask to use my restroom. Lets just say its a little awkward!  But we made the best of it! We loved Spending the day with these guys!

 First parade.

Grandpa, Haizlee, and Heston in the rocking chair on our front porch!

Katie had to leave early to go to a dinner with her family, and we wanted to do sparklers. It wasn't dark yet, but you could at least see a little bit of it. As you can see Heston loved it!!!

Shyanne

Took Shyanne's pictures for 8th grade promotion! She was so fun, and willing to try all my crazy ideas. She has so much going for her. Excited for her and her future!

Being Adventurous

This past Saturday Trent and I decided to go up the Fairview Canyon and fish at the Fairview lakes. We both like to fish and it turned out to be an awesome day!

This is a part of Fairview Lakes. The weather was so warm. We packed some snacks in Trent's Lunch box, grabbed our fishing poles and picked a spot on the dam to sit and catch fish!!!

I was using a silver jake, and Trent was using a gold jake. I did about 5 or 6 casts and then I caught the first fish of the day! :)

Trent caught the second catch of the day. The picture on the left was Trent's first catch. He was reeling it in and right before it reached the shore it came off the hook. So no picture with the fish. Picture on the right was Trent's second catch. Literally on his next cast he caught another one, but same thing it came off the hook before he could reel it in.  :/

Then I caught another one!

The picture on the left was right before Trent cast out, and on this cast he let it go and his line broke, so he lost his gold jake. :( The picture on the right was us enjoying our snacks we packed!

Times before when we would go fishing we would NEVER catch any fish. This was the first time that it was just us that we actually caught fish. It turned out to be pretty fun!

Trent drew a deer tag this year, so after we got done fishing we went and looked for deer.

Cause I always want cute poses!

Out Looking for deer!

Tousled Hair!

So this picture seems weird but somewhere there is a fox! We were driving down north skyline road and Trent looked out his window and a fox was coming out of the trees. He slammed on his breaks and reached back to grab his gun. I grabbed my camera got out to hurry and snap a photo but was to late. Trent walked after it for a while, but couldn't find any trace of it.

As we were deer searching we came upon 5 bull elk. I had never been this close to a live elk before so it was awesome for me to see them and take a few photos.

We ended the day with an awesome sunset! We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place!

One Year!

This past Sunday, May 10th was Trent and I's first anniversary! We had a big weekend planned. I had never been to Park City so that's where we wanted to stay. We rented a condo for two nights and three days. It was perfect and a much needed weekend for both of us!

 Squaw Peak May 10, 2015

We first got to our condo on Friday around 1:30 pm. We had to look through everything and explore the place, and of course see how comfy the bed was.

After we ate lunch we wanted to see Historic Main Street. It wasn't to far so we decided to walk from our condo.

 Such a beautiful walk!

On our way up they had tunnels with awesome painted murals on the side. This one was a painting of a mine because of Park City's history of mining.

 We made it!

Historic Main Street! This street had lots of shops with over priced clothing, lots of painting galleries, and houses! Let me tell you the houses were my favorite. Looking at them reminded me of houses in San Francisco. These houses are on steep hills, very tight spaces, and by looking at a house straight on the width is small. About enough space for a garage and a front door. But when we looked at the side of the house it dropped down the hill, so we could see that they were actually pretty good sized houses. It was sweet to look at them. It seemed like we were in a different country.

When we were ready to leave Main Street we decided to ride one of the free buses they had. A bus picked us up on Main Street and took us to the main bus station. We got off and there was another bus already there waiting. We had a map of the routes that the buses took. Looking at it was so confusing, and we thought we could just get on the bus waiting and it would take us somewhere by our condo. That was a MISTAKE! This bus kept taking us farther up towards the outlets and the route to Salt Lake. Also the whole time he is going in different neighborhoods and making lots of stops. We kept looking at the map trying to figure out where we where at. We slowly realized that there was more than one bus, and they don't all make the same routes and they have colors to identify them. We were on the pink bus and we needed to be on the green bus. Well the green one didn't go up as far as we where so we had to wait as the pink bus made its way back down the route tell we got to a stop that a green bus stopped at as well. We were finally able to get off and when we did there was another pink bus that was heading up the way we just came. Our bus dropped us off at a run down 7-11 gas station with no bathroom, and a waiting station with a roof on it. We knew we had to wait for about 30 min before our bus would be here. In the waiting station I kept looking at the map and saw that the green bus had times. The time it ran was 9:00 am -5:00 pm. Guess what time it was, yep 5:04!!! We were so mad! We should have stayed on the Pink bus and we could have got off somewhere close to our condo. It started to rain hard. We took cover in the gas station. This is where that picture was taken. Trent as you can see was NOT happy! So the plan now was to get back on the pink bus that was heading back down to the main bus station by Main street and get on a red bus. So we waited the 30 mins to get on the pink bus rode it down to the Main bus station, waited about 20 min to get on the red bus. Lucky we finally made it back to our condo just in to time to go to dinner. So we spent about 3 hours riding the buses just to get back to our condo! We decided we would drive everywhere from then on out! hahahhaha!

On Saturday we were going to go shopping, but wanted to see the Olympic Park. They had a museum that documented the 2002 Winter Olympics when it was held in Park City. It sounds lame, but I actually enjoyed it a lot! We had fun taking pictures and exploring the place.

I know my picture is better! ;)

The Torch!

On Sat afternoon we went shopping at the Outlets, and found some awesome deals! Our favorite were these sweaters at Under Armour for $15 regularly $55!

Trent said we never take any fun photos so I proved him wrong!

That night we went and saw Fast and the Ferocious 7, and after I wanted to see Historic Main Street at night. It was 12:30 a.m. and he still took me up there. It was worth it, so pretty and magical!

When we were engaged I downloaded this app that counted down the days until we were married. After the date and time it started to count up and I never deleted it. I wanted to get a picture when it changed to exactly 1 year! Well on Sunday Morning as we laid in bed we kept watching it waiting to take the picture. The picture on the left was when it was supposed to say 1 year, but instead looked like that. We figured it was because of daylight savings. So we just needed to wait an hour. We got up and made breakfast. A little while later I decided to check it and the picture on the right is what I saw! I was so confused and disappointed. We still don't understand what happened. Oh well we were official married for One Year! :)

On our way home Sunday Afternoon we decided to stop at Squaw Peak. This place has so much meaning for us. This is where Trent first kissed me, and also where he proposed. Both of these special moments happened in the winter so the gate was always closed but both times we just walked up a little ways. This was the first time that I had ever been to the top! As you can see it was breath taking!!!

There are so many times that I think I am so lucky to have Trent as my Eternal Companion. This first year has come with it difficulties no doubt but I wouldn't want anyone else to grow and improve with. He is my best friend, and i'm SO grateful we found each other. I'm excited for the many more years to come!!!
