One Year!

This past Sunday, May 10th was Trent and I's first anniversary! We had a big weekend planned. I had never been to Park City so that's where we wanted to stay. We rented a condo for two nights and three days. It was perfect and a much needed weekend for both of us!

 Squaw Peak May 10, 2015

We first got to our condo on Friday around 1:30 pm. We had to look through everything and explore the place, and of course see how comfy the bed was.

After we ate lunch we wanted to see Historic Main Street. It wasn't to far so we decided to walk from our condo.

 Such a beautiful walk!

On our way up they had tunnels with awesome painted murals on the side. This one was a painting of a mine because of Park City's history of mining.

 We made it!

Historic Main Street! This street had lots of shops with over priced clothing, lots of painting galleries, and houses! Let me tell you the houses were my favorite. Looking at them reminded me of houses in San Francisco. These houses are on steep hills, very tight spaces, and by looking at a house straight on the width is small. About enough space for a garage and a front door. But when we looked at the side of the house it dropped down the hill, so we could see that they were actually pretty good sized houses. It was sweet to look at them. It seemed like we were in a different country.

When we were ready to leave Main Street we decided to ride one of the free buses they had. A bus picked us up on Main Street and took us to the main bus station. We got off and there was another bus already there waiting. We had a map of the routes that the buses took. Looking at it was so confusing, and we thought we could just get on the bus waiting and it would take us somewhere by our condo. That was a MISTAKE! This bus kept taking us farther up towards the outlets and the route to Salt Lake. Also the whole time he is going in different neighborhoods and making lots of stops. We kept looking at the map trying to figure out where we where at. We slowly realized that there was more than one bus, and they don't all make the same routes and they have colors to identify them. We were on the pink bus and we needed to be on the green bus. Well the green one didn't go up as far as we where so we had to wait as the pink bus made its way back down the route tell we got to a stop that a green bus stopped at as well. We were finally able to get off and when we did there was another pink bus that was heading up the way we just came. Our bus dropped us off at a run down 7-11 gas station with no bathroom, and a waiting station with a roof on it. We knew we had to wait for about 30 min before our bus would be here. In the waiting station I kept looking at the map and saw that the green bus had times. The time it ran was 9:00 am -5:00 pm. Guess what time it was, yep 5:04!!! We were so mad! We should have stayed on the Pink bus and we could have got off somewhere close to our condo. It started to rain hard. We took cover in the gas station. This is where that picture was taken. Trent as you can see was NOT happy! So the plan now was to get back on the pink bus that was heading back down to the main bus station by Main street and get on a red bus. So we waited the 30 mins to get on the pink bus rode it down to the Main bus station, waited about 20 min to get on the red bus. Lucky we finally made it back to our condo just in to time to go to dinner. So we spent about 3 hours riding the buses just to get back to our condo! We decided we would drive everywhere from then on out! hahahhaha!

On Saturday we were going to go shopping, but wanted to see the Olympic Park. They had a museum that documented the 2002 Winter Olympics when it was held in Park City. It sounds lame, but I actually enjoyed it a lot! We had fun taking pictures and exploring the place.

I know my picture is better! ;)

The Torch!

On Sat afternoon we went shopping at the Outlets, and found some awesome deals! Our favorite were these sweaters at Under Armour for $15 regularly $55!

Trent said we never take any fun photos so I proved him wrong!

That night we went and saw Fast and the Ferocious 7, and after I wanted to see Historic Main Street at night. It was 12:30 a.m. and he still took me up there. It was worth it, so pretty and magical!

When we were engaged I downloaded this app that counted down the days until we were married. After the date and time it started to count up and I never deleted it. I wanted to get a picture when it changed to exactly 1 year! Well on Sunday Morning as we laid in bed we kept watching it waiting to take the picture. The picture on the left was when it was supposed to say 1 year, but instead looked like that. We figured it was because of daylight savings. So we just needed to wait an hour. We got up and made breakfast. A little while later I decided to check it and the picture on the right is what I saw! I was so confused and disappointed. We still don't understand what happened. Oh well we were official married for One Year! :)

On our way home Sunday Afternoon we decided to stop at Squaw Peak. This place has so much meaning for us. This is where Trent first kissed me, and also where he proposed. Both of these special moments happened in the winter so the gate was always closed but both times we just walked up a little ways. This was the first time that I had ever been to the top! As you can see it was breath taking!!!

There are so many times that I think I am so lucky to have Trent as my Eternal Companion. This first year has come with it difficulties no doubt but I wouldn't want anyone else to grow and improve with. He is my best friend, and i'm SO grateful we found each other. I'm excited for the many more years to come!!!
